  • Friends of our Community Benefit Squaw Valley contrbutes lift tickets and goods to small charities and fundraisers such as Tahoe/ Nordic Search and Rescue, the Girl Scouts of America, the Make a Wish Foundation, the Tahoe Woman’s Services and many other local and regional organizations. This also includes the donation of season passes to several local events such as the Tahoe Adaptive Ski School, Foamfest, Disabled Sports USA, the Tahoe Ski Club, the Desert Research Institute, and more. These events raise money to support local organizations such as the Tahoe Adaptive Ski School, local high school sports teams and non-profit organizations. In 2007 Squaw Valley Ski Corp contributed $25,000 to the Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation. As a founding member the Ski Corp. has continued its commitment to the Foundation by donating 600 lift tickets annually (a $43,800 value) to the Foundation’s Community Ski Pass Program.
  • High Camp Enjoy uninterrupted views of Lake Tahoe and the High Sierra, ice skate at the Olympic Ice Pavilion, travel back in time and learn a little more about the 1960 Winter Olympic Games at the Olympic Museum, or relax at the Poolside Umbrella Bar and soak up the Sierra sun in the Swimming Lagoon & Spa (opens in mid-March). Guests ride the 2,000 vertical feet in Squaw Valley's aerial Cable Car to High Camp, el. 8200', where all of these activities plus numerous sundecks, the Poolside Cafe and Terrace restaurant await.

  • Restaurants, Bars & Nightlife Squaw Valley offers numerous places to eat, drink, and be merry. From a breakfast feast before hitting the slopes, a quick lunch grab, to fine dining with an unforgettable view, there's something for everyone. Of course, Squaw's reputation for fun extends beyond the peaks and ridges, too. The activity is just beginning when the last run is done!
  • Ski Rental & Repair Need skis? Squaw Valley Ski Rental and Performance Center features K2 Comanche rental skis, Dalbello boots and high-performance skis from Rossignol, K2, Volkl and Salomon. Need boots? Renters have the option of renting Dalbello DX Super, which is our standard rental ski boot, (smallest size: kids size 7, largest size adult 16), or the Salomon Performa 660 performance boot upgrade, (smallest size is men's 5, largest is mens' 13.5. Rental packages include skis, boots, and poles. Squaw Valley's Rental and Repair shop is located at the base of the mountain, next to the ticket portals. For more information about rental packages, call (530)452-4175. Hours: The rental shop opens 1/2 hour before the lifts open and closes one hour after the lifts close.
  • Papoose Discovery Center While Squaw Valley USA is well known for it's expert terrain and world class athletes, it's also an amazing place to learn the sport of skiing and scnowboarding. Our team of experienced and skilled ski and snowboard instructors are here to introduce you to this wonderful sport and the Papoose Learning Area is the ideal location. The Papoose Learning Area is a dedicated beginner slope with gentle terrain, an introductory lift and plenty of room to comfortably develop the necessary skills to stop, turn and prepare to explore other areas of the mountain with ease and confidence.
  • Olympic Ice Pavilion - Ice Skating The Olympic Ice Pavilion, accessed via Squaw Valley's aerial Cable Car, is a true wonder. Perched at the crest of Squaw Valley's upper mountain, the rink offers unmatched panoramic views of the Squaw Valley Meadow, beautiful Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Sierra Nevada. Open daily throughout High Camp winter and summer seasons, ice skating is available for all ages. Hockey or figure skate rentals are included, and private lessons are available by appointment. Adults and children alike should not miss the thrill and excitement of ice skating in a truly unique and awe-inspiring setting.
  • Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing The Resort at Squaw Creek offers a complete Nordic Center, conveniently located at the trailhead of the Cross Country Ski & Snowshoe trails at the Resort at Squaw Creek. The Nordic Center offers about 18 kilometers (400 acres) of meticulously groomed trails that wind through the stunning Squaw Valley meadow and surrounding hillside. The trails are perfect for beginners and first timers, as well as more intermediate and advanced skiers and snowshoers. The trails are 70% beginner, 20% intermediate, and 10% advanced.
  • Night Skiing & Riding Squaw Valley USA offers Lake Tahoe's most extensive and exciting night terrain includes the 3.2 mile Mountain Run - all under the light of a specially-made floodlight system, utilizing 1000 watt, color-corrected High Pressure Sodium bulbs, that allows for superior contrast and easier vision on the snow. The Riviera Terrain Park and Superpipe will be fully lit and open for night skiing and riding!
  • Free Daily Reno Shuttle to Squaw Valley Take the Free Reno Shuttle to Squaw Valley. Offering daily service. Focus on your skiing or riding and let someone else do the driving. Squaw Valley's Shuttle will pick you up in downtown Reno and bring you to the base of the mountain in a 47 passenger bus, complete with reclining seats, video, and restroom.
  • Squaw Valley Adult Snowsports School This revolutionary teaching system is designed for adult skiers and snowboarders (ages 13 and up) from beginners to expert. Groups meet twice daily for 2.5 hour sessions. Go With A Pro - Training Areas (Levels 2 - 5). Each Level has a specific goal and mastery of technique is achieved through use of proper ski terrain, skill blend and turn shape. Your Ski Pro will help guide you toward successful skiing or snowboarding. Meet at the Squaw Valley Snowsports School main office, at the base of the Funitel, for evaluation and direction to the proper Training Area.
  • The Arc at Gold Coast This mid-mountain restaurant features specialty food stations ranging in distinctive soups such as the celebrated pheasant soup, made-to-order salads, gourmet pizzas, grilled fare, and Asian cuisine. Located on the lower level of the Gold Coast Lodge, The Arc also offers grab-and-go food items for skiers and snowboarders who are on the fly.
  • Headwall Sky Jump The Skyjump is a great activity for anyone between 20 and 220 lbs. All ages are welcome. Our friendly staff gives tips and pointers to anyone wanting to learn how to do a front or back somersault. Notice the smiles and looks of increasing self-confidence after the first somersault, especially in children! Each participant wears a safety harness and is connected to a rope/bungee system for safety. The Skyjump is great exercise and a fun, confidence-building activity! Try the Headwall's latest activity the Sky Jump! This bungee trampoline activity is sure to send every member of your family to new heights.
  • Gold Coast Mid-Mountain Demo Center Come try the latest high performance skis from K2, Volkl, Line, Dynastar, Blizzard, Atomic, Rossignol, Salomon, Fischer and Elan. Switch your skis out as many times as you like at either The Gold Coast Mid-Mountain Demo Center or The Gold Coast Adventure Center in the Village. Affordable and convenient.
  • Squaw College Season Passes Temperatures are dropping, school is in session, and skiers and riders are looking for deals on season passes. College students should look no further, as Squaw Valley is offering them a sweet deal. Any college student enrolled in a full course schedule in a 2 year, 4 year, or graduate program at college or university is eligible to buy a Season Pass. Squaw's College Pass gives college students access to Tahoe's most sought-after terrain (4,000 skiable acres, six peaks, 16 open bowls via 33 lifts). Squaw's expansive terrain, state-of-the-art lift network, and convenient parking allow skiers and riders to spend less time commuting from the parking lot to the lifts, less time combating crowds on congested slopes and terrain parks, and more time shredding! With an improved night park and superpipe, and brand new mid mountain restaurants and bars to add to the robust après scene, this winter is a better time than ever for college students to become Squaw Valley passholders.
  • Free North Shore Shuttle Free Shuttle service from North and West Shore of Lake Tahoe to Squaw Valley. Available only during the winter season. Reservations: 530-452-7181 (Reservations required 12 hours in advance).
  • Swimming Lagoon & Spa Squaw Valley's Swimming Lagoon & Spa is one of the most breathtaking places in the world to relax. Located at High Camp, el.8,200', the Swimming Lagoon & Spa are surrounded by the beauty of the Sierra's including views of Lake Tahoe. The free-form lagoon features 25 yard lap lanes and two islands landscaped with waterfalls and native boulders. The 25' diameter spa is heated to 102 degrees and surrounded by expansive decks and a casual umbrella bar. The Bath and Tennis Club provides lockers, showers, and changing rooms along with towels.

  • Snowboard Rental Our Snowboard Rental Shop features equipment from Burton, K2 and Rossignol. Introducing new Rossignol boots and Burton bindings as well as a special selection of high performance boards! Our knowledgeable staff is here to assist you with finding the right equipment to make your day incredible. Our Snowboard Shop is located in the rear of the Olympic House next to the Arcade. Hours: The rental shop opens 1/2 hour before the lifts open and closes one hour after the lifts close.

  • Snowtubing Come cruise the white stuff on Squaw Valley's custom snow tubes. If you've never tubed before, it's a blast! Four tubing lanes are maintained providing tubers a variety of thrill levels.The snow tubing park is located at the Papoose Discovery Center at Far East. (turn left at the first parking lot bridge towards the Papoose Learning Center). Ages: 4 Years and up (one person per tube) Tickets: Purchase tickets at the Papoose Learning Center. Please note: Tubing space is limited and sessions may sell out. Snowtubing operations are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. Please call 530-583-6955 for operations status.
  • Free Shuttle from South Lake Tahoe to Squaw Valley Free shuttle from South Lake Tahoe to Squaw Valley. Drink your coffee, plan your day and let someone else do the driving! Squaw Valley's Shuttle will whisk you away in plush 47 passenger buses, complete with reclining seats, video, and a restroom.
  • Free Avalanche Awareness/Beacon Class Free course offerec by the Squaw Valley USA. It meets at the Ski Patrol building (in the Red Dog Complex and across the way from Squaw Kids). The course teaches avalanche safety and beacon use, is open to employees and public but all attendees are asked kindly to please register in advance by calling Squaw Valley Ski Patrol at 530-452-7260. There is no ski/board component to this course.
  • Guided Moonlight Snowshoe Tours Mountaintop Tubbs Moonlight Snowshoe Tours set off from High Camp, el. 8200', at 5:30 pm. Guests should plan on taking the 5 pm or 5:15 pm Cable Car to High Camp. Snowshoe Tour reservations can be made by calling 530-452-7123 or head to the Squaw Valley Special Tickets Office. A mountaintop dinner at Alexander's, overlooking Lake Tahoe, can be included as an option in the Moonlight Snowshoe Tour package.
